Future Mobility – Concepts for Today with Innovations of Tomorrow

The energy turnaround is one of the key tasks for upcoming decades. The goal of the federal government is to reduce the carbon dioxide emissions by the amount of 40 % until 2020 compared to 1990 levels. The innovation in the field of mobility embedded in a sustainable energy and transport policy can contribute to the reduction of carbon emissions significantly.

In addition it is necessary to carry out market penetration of alternative drive technologies such as electric, hydrogen or gas mobility in its technology breadth across all modes of transport. Furthermore society has to accept these applications in all domains.

Municipalities and companies are responsible for behaving as role models in both thinking and acting.

Alternative drive technologies, especially their integration into intermodal concepts, have considerable potential in order to achieve carbon emission goals or lead municipalities to success with their objectives in the fields of climate protection, noise and traffic avoidance. Furthermore, there are often significant cost reductions for municipal service traffic.
